Health Mural, Harper, Liberia
The Health Mural was painted by a group of high school students in Harper, Liberia. Christina Mallie of Colors of Connection (formerly Visions of Hope) taught the students and oversaw the project. The purpose of this mural is to teach people ways to stay healthy. Murals in Liberia are often used to educate local people. In Harper they are also often painted on buildings burned out during one of their three recent civil wars in an effort to beautify the area and reduce the trauma of 3 civil wars.
