Since the peace accords muralists from both the Republican and Loyalist factions have joined together to create murals that express the issues in their communities. Since peace, the use of drugs and the prevalence of suicide by young people has increased. Murals such as this one intend to instill a sense of hope and pride by highlighting the many athletes from this region who have participated in the Olympic games.
